Our territory

10 minutes from our cellar are the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, which have become a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019; they offer excellent views where you can enjoy an experience in direct contact with nature, immersed in the greenery of the vines. There are also small villages, farmhouses and excellent restaurants and places to stay.

Our vineyards extend across various municipalities in the Treviso plain which extends from the foot of the Dolomites to the mouth of the Piave river. The fresh air currents coming from the Dolomites make their effect felt with temperature variations between night and day, it is here in this cooler area where we get grapes that allow us to produce the best semi-sparkling and sparkling wines.

The company is located in Mareno di Piave, a rural town located in the province of Treviso (about 50 km from Venice). Our territory includes four important denominations: the DOC Treviso (with which we produce the very famous Prosecco), the IGT Marca Trevigiana, the DOC Piave and the DOC delle Venezie (with which we produce all the other still and sparkling wines). The climate of our area is temperate, with hot summers and never too cold winters.

Precipitation is fairly distributed throughout the year, more abundant in the areas near the hills and less going down towards the south-east. Our vineyards extend across various municipalities of the Treviso plain which extends from the foot of the Dolomites to the mouth of the Piave river, widens eastwards into the province of Venice up to the border naturally defined by the Livenza river and extends south-eastwards throughout the Venetian hinterland until reaching the Adriatic Sea.

The fresh air currents coming from the Dolomites make their effect felt with temperature variations between night and day, therefore the north-east area is the coolest where we obtain grapes with good acidity which allow us to produce the best wines sparkling and sparkling.

The vineyards in the municipalities surrounding the Piave river basin are lands of alluvial origin created by submergence of the autumn floods of the river itself and have a not very high percentage of clay. They are very gravelly soils with white stones which give a good minerality to the wines produced.

These soils are considered warm, as at night they release the heat trapped during the day by these stones, this characteristic allows us to obtain white wines with tropical notes.

Chi Siamo

If we move further into the Venetian area we find sandy soils with more or less variable percentages of clay. The heaviest and most tenacious soils are found in particular along the many minor rivers of the plain, it is here that we are able to grow the most structured and full-bodied wines such as red wines and some still whites.

Different in climate and soil composition, these territories are united by an ancient tradition of vine cultivation. Winemaking tradition which is also demonstrated by the presence of the ancient wine school of Conegliano which is located a few kilometers from the Piave river and from our company.
